What to Expect on the White Salmon River

We have the most experience of any outfitter on all our rivers. We are the only truly LOCAL outfitter on the White Salmon River. Born and raised here, we also pioneered paddle rafting and running Husum Falls on the White Salmon River. That is why we can say: Ride with the BEST, you will feel like our GUEST.

White Salmon River is a year round rafting river located in a forested area at the base of Mt. Adams, a sleeping volcano in south central Washington. Our whitewater rafting trips on the White Salmon River meet daily at 9:00 and 1:00. Special times are also available upon request. We meet you at the Adventure Center where you receive your wetsuit, booties, exclusive paddle jacket, lifejacket and helmet. When everyone is ready, the head guide will give a talk. Then we proceed to the launch area where our custom made purple Sotar rafts are waiting. After launching we enjoy multiple class three to four rapids for approximately an hour or more. <<River Classification>>

Depending on the water levels we may or may not run the Husum Falls located midway in the trip. If we do, this is the scenario. We pull over above Husum Falls (Class V) to take a look and get another talk. Each paddler decides if they want to do the falls or walk around. It is an easy portage for those who wish to walk around. They also can watch if any one decides to take the plunge. After loading back up in the rafts, the trip will continue downstream for approximately another hour. We enjoy several more class three rapids, which gradually decrease to end at the Northwestern Lake picnic area. The whole float takes approx. 3 to 4 hrs. <<River Classification>>

Our Adventure Center features snacks, drinks, picnicking, basketball, volleyball, tetherball, climbing and hiking trails by the river. Digital photos will be available after the float. If you want to save money, bring your own lunch and use our picnic area and BBQ.
Thank you!
